What's the longest relationship you've been in?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 23, 2007:

I met my fiance in 1997 and we were best friends for all the years after in 2002 we became boyfriend and girlfriend and plhave kids panned to marry and havekids by Feb 2006 but he died of a heroin overdose in Oct 2005 we were friends or lovers for almost 12 years
